Seattle Preparatory School – Jesuit Medallion

This is a 6ft diameter Jesuit symbol constructed from limestone inlaid with 0.25in thick bronze water-jet cut elements, inlaid into the concrete plaza in front of the new chapel building at the Seattle Preparatory School designed by Will Ives, an architect with Hennebery Eddy in Portland, Oregon. Also included in the details are a few hundred linear feet of inlaid bronze strips radiating from the central medallion throughout the plaza area which were cut into the concrete and inlaid by the artisan with specially modified equipment that was needed in order to perform the tasks.
